Sectional Picture Frames

You can order any hardwood molding as a Custom Sectional frame, assemble it yourself and then stain or paint to the finish of your choice for a fraction of the cost of commercial purchased or assembled picture frames. When ordering your picture frame, just e-mail us the profile and cut size for your length and width and when you receive the frame, follow the instructions illustrated below.

To Assemble Custom Sectional Wood Frames

Step One:

The frame sections are miter cut to the size you specify and routed with a channel at the back of each section. Apply a small dot of wood glue to a miter face.

Step Two:

Press the two mitered ends together. The channels will form a V-shaped (or similar) groove.

Step Three:

Each frame will come with four pegs that conform to the shapes of the grooves. Insert a peg into a groove and press it down with your thumb

Step Four:

Press it down until the peg won't go any further.

Step Five:

Turn the frame over onto its face and press down with the heels of your hands at each corner to sink the pegs flush at

Step Six:

The frame is assembled. When the glue dries it is ready to accept glass, mat and artwork.
