From an older home that represented the late 1890's and provided a sturdy picture frame rail to hang the large pictures that were often found in sitting rooms and parlors. Thie picture rail accepts the majority of picture rail hooks that are available today and will look very nice when used with medallions. Dimensions are 13/16 height by 2 5/8 width.
