This picture rail moluding is from the s1890's and is one most frequently requested. The moulding is applied about a foot down from your ceiling for use with picture hooks to hang pictures with cord or chain. Often medallions with tassels are covering the hook and corded gold rope is used to hang the picture rather than wire. Dimensions are 1-3/4 width by 11/16 thickness.
